Extraordinary Ministers assist the priest and deacon in distributing Holy Communion at Mass and other liturgies. In order
to become an Extraordinary Minister, you must be confirmed. The next step is to fill out an application and have an interview
with the pastor. After this is completed, you must attend a one-day training session sponsored by the diocese.
Extraordinary Ministers are scheduled to serve a few times each month at a weekend Mass. They are also asked to help out with
Holy Day Masses, including Christmas, Holy Week and Easter Liturgies.
