Good Shepherd Parish Advocates for Disabilities not only encourages awareness of persons with disabilities in our Christian community but also promotes another important aspect that must not be overlooked. When we think of people with disabilities in relation to ministry, we tend to consider doing something for them without realizing that they might participate in ministry with us. Moreover, they have the same duty and desire as all members of the community to serve the Lord, according to their God given talents and capacity.

Through a careful look at the needs of our parish, the Advocates for Disabilities Ministry brings awareness of both the needs of disabled persons in the church community, to assist in their needs AND to see their unique abilities and talents for participating in liturgical services and in our Christian community.
